New Two-Hole Lentil Beads

Father, please forgive me for I have sinned, it has been two months since my last confessi....... er, blog post. How did that happen?

I am alive, a lot going on and I'll tell you some of it - but not now.  Today I want to show you some of the new two-hole lentil beads introduced at Tucson in February.
Notice how the beads stand up above the bracelet.
This is my original design I created for the
Trendsetters, for a jewelry display in Tucson

We got together to give Sue a 'send-off'.
She is traveling in Germany, Czech Republic,
and Austria with a group of teenagers.
So we thought she needed a new pattern
to bead on the plane
Another beautiful version

We need to name this but so far all we
could come up with was "Centipede".
We didn't think that was very flattering,
so if you have an idea,
please let me know.

Virginia is now back from her trip to Panama
and her niece came here to visit.
She doesn't speak English very well
but Virginia
translated for her and
below is her finished bracelet
.
For a beginner, she did beautiful work.

And of course, Janet's version,  Beautiful!
And we thought it looked fabulous with the
chainmaille bracelet she made in the last class.
See more of this on her blog. Here

Czech Glass Lentil Beads

Bead Street just got a new shipment of the 6mm Czech glass lentil beads. Some new colors that were not previously available and some restock.   Some colors are in limited supply and may not even be made again.  Since we had plans to teach two classes in September using these beads, we have decided to have a Labor Day Sale on them.  For the weekend (and thru next week), take 30% off any lentil bead purchase.

The September class schedule will be posted next week but here are some photos of things to come.

Lentil Bracelet Class, $10 but you get a $10 store credit
to purchase your beads.
You can make it thicker or thinner - whichever way you like your bracelets.
This is a three hour class.
However, once you have made one, you'll find it will take "about an hour" (sounds like an eyeglass commercial doesn't it).
So, these are great projects to make for friends.

Another new class is this beaded bead which is
also made with lentil beads.  The original uses two needles
but we have redesigned it to make it easier.

This necklace incorporates a few of those lentil beaded beads.  Pretty nice!

More September classes include Penny's Scrollwork, her Netted Wire Cabochon, and Nancy's Freeform Peyote.  We'll have more information on other projects and hopefully have photos next week as well.  In the meantime, if you are in town this weekend, come in and see the new beads and enjoy a discount.   Stay safe and have a great Labor Day.

Lentil Class

These are samples from students in our Lentil Bracelet Class.  A very popular, easy, beginning class. Cost is $10.00 for the class and materials average from $6 to $9.  We  carry close to 120 different colors of these beads so you have a lot to choose from.  The purple one belongs to Robin, the rust one belongs to Jackie.  Don't remember who did the garnet one - if this is yours, let me know.  I think I have 6 of these, all in different colors.  And I'd really like another one, but I keep hearing this little voice, Stop!  Stop!
